WELLNESS GARDEN PROJECT:
• Creates green spaces to help our environment
• Offers community events for to reconnect with nature & one another
• Improves Immunity: In 2007, University of Colorado neuroscientist Christopher Lowry, then working at Bristol University in England, made a startling discovery. He found that certain strains of harmless soil-borne Mycobacterium vaccae sharply stimulated the human immune system. It’s quite likely that exposure to soil bacteria plays an important role in developing a strong immune system
• Supports Brain Health: A study that followed people in their 60s and 70s for up to 16 years found that those who gardened regularly had a 36% lower risk of dementia than non-gardeners, even when a range of other health factors were taken into account
• Promotes Mental Wellness and improved mood: Mycobacterium vaccae, a harmless bacteria normally found in dirt, has been found to stimulate the immune system of mice and has also been found to boost the production of serotonin, a mood-regulating brain chemical.

bKind bOne is a coalition of leaders and organizations launching a movement of oneness that aligns all identities and groups --- whether it be racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, or the like --- to end hate and separateness. It aims to create a collective power to be the catalyst for change, so no group is considered "other", "foreign", "lesser" or "different"; so that equality and kindness are directed to each of us. bKind bOne asserts that hate has no place in our country, state, and particularly, New York City --- home to a rich diverse heritage, from which we all draw our resilience, creativity and beauty. We have the collective power to make this happen by being kind, being one!
