Through the Eyes of a Child

Inspirational quote about helping others, with a smiling toddler in the background.

7 year old in between emergency temporary housing facilities

I'm grateful for Miss Gabriella, who not only teaches me but also provides my brother and me with shoes. We didn't have any before, and it feels special to know that there are people who care through community support. This mentorship opportunity means so much to us, especially as we benefit from youth programs that help those in need.

Isaiah ; 9 year old in a Bronx family shelter

I'm thankful for my teacher because she provides mentorship opportunities that help me learn, even when she didn't have to do that. I believe she was good to me like that because God wanted her to support my growth, so I can get REALLY smart and stay in school. With the skills I gain from these youth programs and community support, I'll be able to take care of my mom and baby sister.

8 year old living in emergency shelter

I'm grateful God made me, and I believe the reason he made us is so we could foster community support, be good to each other, and help one another, especially through mentorship opportunities and youth programs whenever anyone needs help.

Autistic child homebound with single mother

I'm thankful my mom always understands me. Even when I don't have the words, she already knows—it's like the community support I've experienced in youth programs, where mentorship opportunities also help me find my voice.
