Trauma to Triumphs 3/19

“I think trauma really does confront you with the best and the worst. You see the horrendous things that people do to each other, but you also see resiliency, the power of love, the power of caring, the power of commitment, the power of commitment to oneself, the knowledge that there are things that are larger than our individual survival.

And in some ways, I don’t think you can appreciate the glory of life unless you also know the dark side of life”  Dr. Bessel van der Kolk

Laptops Benefit Children in Schools. Thank you Sen. Comrie & Team

Children wrote that having a laptop is important to learn new things and to be organized with schoolwork, homework, and schedules; access research for school papers, projects, personal interests, read more books, write poems & stories, and research on a screen, not on a phone, which strains the eyes.

Having a laptop develops creative skills, work on video editing, art, writing, typing skills, and Coding.

Voices Of Youth: Stories And Poems Written By Children From Around The World

Bonjour young readers. Allow me to share the youthful perspective that this book is being presented to you, which contains forty sublime manuscripts from six countries! Though I hope this might enhance your perspective on things and think innovatively. Every tale will engulf you in a new world filled with the adventure which awaits you.
The purpose was none other but to polish young writers and to inspire others by their art of writing.
This is just the beginning of a noble endeavor by a caring man taking on the challenge of working to reach the mountain and make a difference while lifting us young ones up along the away.

MONEY WI$E FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAM

YOU can help ensure every individual has the opportunity for financial success!

Trauma to Triumphs, Inc. (bKind) has taken a significant step in addressing the financial literacy crisis in America with the launch of its MONEY WI$E initiative. By providing a range of FREE educational resources that are accessible to all communities, bKind aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their financial situations effectively.

The MONEY WI$E initiative not only focuses on education but also invites volunteers to play a crucial role in this mission. Whether you can spare just one hour or commit to volunteering multiple times throughout the year, your participation can have a profound and lasting impact. Each volunteer's efforts contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty, fostering economic stability, and improving the overall well-being of individuals and families within the community.

Joining the MONEY WI$E initiative gives volunteers a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the transformative power of financial literacy. Be a part of a movement that is making a difference—help us empower communities and transform lives through knowledge and support. Together, we can create a brighter financial future for all.  Improving financial wellness throughout our communities helps families build generational wealth and results in a healthier economy for everyone.

WHY THIS INITIATIVE IS IMPERATIVE:

·  The current financial crisis could cost the country about $700 billion every two years

·  56% of Americans do not have enough savings to cover a $1,000 emergency expense

·  32% of American workers run out of money before payday (a figure that includes those earning $100,000 or even $200,000 a year)

·  Household debt continues to rise, growing by $3.5 billion dollars in just the third quarter of 2021

·  Only 24% of millennials understand basic financial concepts

·  Schools do not offer a standalone personal finance class

·  ONLY one course SENIOR year is embedded in the required economics course for one semester

·  K-8 Social Studies Framework has no financial literacy standards

No legislation related to K-12 personal finance education has been passed in recent years

Academic Equality - Microsoft Surface Laptops

NEW MICROSOFT SURFACE LAPTOPS

Join bKind donors, partners, and volunteers in the ongoing LEAD initiative (Learn, Excel, Achieve & Dream), that provides resources to break the cycle of poverty and trauma in under-served communities.

Through the generosity of Microsoft, economically disadvantaged students earned new Microsoft surface laptops to enhance their learning and commitment to education.  For this initial 2025 school year distribution, school and community staff worked with bKind to identify students and groups who would benefit from this device and use it to promote learning and service to family and community.  We will continue to collaborate within communities to offer educational resources, instruction, information, and supplies, and we invite you to be part of this valuable effort as a donor or volunteer.

Your contribution in any amount will expand the mission to achieve academic equality in ways that have immediate, tangible, life-changing results.  You can be part of this initiative, that spans from combating hunger, to mentoring, coding, resume writing, motivational programs, computer access, and community leadership.
